YAW

Back in the Sonos days we used to share tons of music recommendations with co-workers. I, of course, had the best taste. Is it weird to share music recos on LinkedIn? It's the new watercooler right... so I think not.

I'm a big fan of The Foals and it's only one of two bands that I did the groupie thing and saw back-to-back shows many years back (Billy Strings was the other one).

Front man Yannis is super talented and he did this collaboration with the Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen - so it has this indie-rock meets multi-genre vibe. The band is called Yannis & The Yaw, and Tony has since passed away.

Apparently, the name "Yaw" reflects an experimental and exploratory approach to music-making.
